hi boys and girls!i'm a bit new on photography.it isn't one of my careers i just like it as a hobby of mine.but anyways,let's help one another!

okay i dunno where to start. XD i need a little help though,what lens do you use?i still have the kit lens with me and i'm a little not satisfied with it but contented.hehe..i want a little of bokeh effect.

nagtatanong ako kung maccra ba ung cam or lens. kpag tnapat sa araw. (direct)

hindi ko cnabi na maccra ung camera or ung lens. kya nga may " ? " dba?

and yes mas mgnda kung gagamit ka ng Filter.

havent tried it yet -___- pero natry ko na once ung 50D pti ung 350D ba un?

aus lng, pretty handy den. kso prang mas ease of use ung Nikon, mas mdaling gmitin (in my opinion)

ah yup good point about sa Focal points.

mganda den ung dSLR na mrmaing focal points

D40/D40x/D60 3 lng ung focal points nila -___-

mgnda ung 11 FP pti ung 51 FP.

sa lenses not sure eh. kc natry ko plng na mga lenses puro Nikon made (Nikkor)

pero aus ung sa Canon kung lhat ng lenses compatible.

parang kamatch up ng 500d.hmmm..napansin ko sa canon e parang magaan sila.
yung sa pinsan ko na may 500d tapos sakin kinumpara ko ang gaan!

pero pansin ko mas madali ang interface ng nikon.parang ayoko na magupgrade! :D parang lens nalang..tsk.

yup prang D90 ung D5000

aus den ung D3000 nla.

hmm mgaan nga ung mga Canon, but like what i said hehe mas mdali gmitin ung Nikon ^^ (well for me,)

pero gusto ko den magka Canon, i mean gusto ko makagamit ng Canon pra macompare ko cla ng mabuti.

for now stick with my Nikon D40x ^^

I've used Canon, Nikon, and Sony DLSRs - all of them are great, but I like Canon the most. Photography is just a hobby of mine (though I've been commissioned a couple of times) but I also want to be serious about it. I feel like I can constantly improve in Canon. :]

And also, I've always preferred Canon for cameras. I don't know why.

yo black mamba i've recently got a good grip on rebel t1i(500d). it is pretty lighter(weight) than my d60. does canon dslr's really that light?

am planning to do upgrade from nikon d60 to rebel xsi(450d). im aimin' for more focus points and liveview.

tell me about canon lenses. :D

Yes, Canon DSLRs are really light. It's one of the things I like most about them. ^^ D60 is a pretty sweet camera, too. But I prefer Canon.

Well... what kind of photos do you want to take, anyway? For one, Canon lenses are a bit more expensive than Nikon ones. Not a huge difference but most Nikon lenses are around $20 to $50 cheaper than the Canon ones. Tell me what kind of photos you want to take and I'll try and give you some input on good lenses for those kinds of photos.

just like you,its just a hobby and i don't want to make it as my career.i just can't stop capturing what i see or imagine everytime i have my camera with me :D

for now,more on portraits.and maybe zoom lens.all around i guess :D how about the EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS?

yea maybe i'll go with the rebel xsi XD what canon is yours?

An all-around one, eh? Hmm...

Well, the EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.5 IS would be a nice choice if you want to take portraits. If you already have that lens, then you don't need to get a zoom lens since a 200mm range is quite far already. If you want to take portraits of people, animals, and basically nature itself, then that lens would do the trick. I mean, it's just a hobby so you really don't need to be buying much more expensive lens than that, unless... you're rich and you can afford it. Do whatever you want with your money. :P You can get a panoramic lens if you want the have more width to your picture.

Anyway, I used to own a Canon EOS Rebel XTi, but I recently switched to an EOS 5D Mark II. :]
