Transfer from EU high school to high school in USA

Hi,

I'm an 18 years old student from Europe and I'm wondering if there's any chance that I can transfer from my high school to an American high school (in Georgia or South Carolina). I have a great relationship with both of my host families in states I named above so I will have a place to stay. I'm sure that some people coming from Europe to the U.S. have done this before. Is there anyone with such experience? Right now I'm here on ESTA, which is something like a tourist visa and if the school thing works out I'm gonna get a student visa. Currently I'm in 12th grade. Where I live we have 13 grades in total. Would I be able to finish the high school and actually get the high school degree here in the States?
