does defragmenting really helps?? bcoz other site says that defragmenting doesnt affect the computers performance :D.. . by the way ill try it...

Defrag to enhance PC Performance? I've been doing this every month, but there's no difference. I'm just defragging it to save some space.

Xp2? do you mean XP SP2? there's nothing much different on SP3, it just fix bugs on your old SP2 - flint0131 wrote:

I'm just defragging it to save some space. true it does only save some space on your HD, if you're talking about system performance you need to remove some programs that always starts on windows startup and it consumes alot of RAM if you have many applications on your windows startup, to remove programs on startup click start/all programs/startup folder (double click the startup folder) and then delete the program shortcuts on the folder that you do not want to start on startup simple as that =) also if you're still having problems on your Pc performance maybe because you have many applications/windows opened and because of that it consumes alot of RAM especially some programs like "Adobe Photoshop" which consumes alot of RAM and requires atleast 1/2GB RAM -MarikKun
